On October 15, 2026, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) told owners of two kitchen appliances to stop using them and throw them out, because no company will recall them: about 393,000 Tristar Power Quick Pot pressure cookers, and Kalorik MAXX air fryer ovens with French doors. Eight recalls dated September 30 through October 15 cover thermal laminators, trimmer mowers, swing seats, air rifles and four vehicle lines.
Two Appliances With No Recall
Both notices are CPSC product safety warnings, not recalls. No company is offering a refund, repair or replacement for either product, so CPSC’s advice is to stop using it and get rid of it.
Tristar Power Quick Pot 6-Quart Pressure Cookers
The lid of the Tristar Power Quick Pot 6-quart pressure cooker, model Y6D-36, can open while the cooker is pressurized and throw out its hot contents. CPSC has 24 reports of that happening, resulting in serious burn injuries, according to its warning on the cookers.
About 393,000 were sold at Walmart.com, Amazon.com, eBay.com and other retailers from about July 2018 to November 2023 for $44 to $160. “Power Quick Pot” is printed on the front, and the model number is on a label on the back. The importer, Tristar Products, Inc., of Altamonte Springs, Florida, has refused to recall the cookers or offer any remedy. CPSC urges owners to stop using them immediately and dispose of them, and not to sell or give them away.
Kalorik MAXX Air Fryer Ovens With French Doors
The French doors on Kalorik MAXX and MAXX Advance air fryer ovens can suddenly close on a person’s arm while the oven is on. CPSC knows of dozens of reported burns, including at least one report of scarring that reflects second-degree burns, according to its warning on the ovens. The ovens may have been sold under various SKUs, item numbers or model numbers.
They were sold at Walmart, Home Depot and other retailers, and online at Kalorik.com, Amazon.com and other sites. The original importers, Team International Group of America, Inc. and Kalorik, LLC, sold the ovens from April 2020 to January 8, 2024, and have since gone out of business, so they cannot conduct a recall. The current owner of the Kalorik brand, The Legacy Companies, LLC, imported and sold the ovens after June 23, 2025, and has declined to take part in a recall. CPSC urges owners to dispose of the ovens immediately, following local hazardous waste disposal procedures.
Vehicle Recalls
Owners can look up any of these vehicles by entering the 17-character Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) at nhtsa.gov/recalls, the recall search run by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
Hyundai Genesis and Genesis G80: Seat Motor Fire Risk
Hyundai Motor America is recalling 94,622 vehicles: 2015 and 2016 Hyundai Genesis and 2017 through 2020 Genesis G80 models, according to the NHTSA record for campaign 26V664000. A front power seat switch can stick, and the seat motor can overheat and start a fire while the car is parked or being driven. The repair is still being developed. Until it is done, owners are advised to park outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures. Owner letters are expected to be mailed December 7, 2026. The earlier post on the Hyundai and Toyota fire-risk recalls covers this recall in more detail.
Volkswagen ID.4: Battery Fire Risk
Volkswagen Group of America is recalling 22,524 ID.4 vehicles from model years 2023 through 2026 because the high-voltage battery may fail and start a fire, according to the NHTSA record for campaign 26V630000. The repair is still being developed. Until it is done, owners are advised to charge to a maximum of 80% battery capacity. Interim letters are expected to be mailed November 27, 2026, and owners will get another letter once the repair is available.
Toyota RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid: Loss of Power
Toyota is recalling about 31,000 model year 2026 RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid vehicles, according to its October 7, 2026, announcement. A fault in an electronic control unit for the plug-in hybrid system can shut the system down while driving, causing a loss of power at higher speeds and raising the risk of a crash. Only the 2026 RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid is listed in the recall. Toyota dealers will update the unit’s software at no cost. Toyota expects to notify owners by early December 2026, and the NHTSA record for campaign 26V659000 lists letters mailing starting November 22, 2026.
Honda Accord Hybrid, CR-V Hybrid and CR-V Fuel Cell EV: Tire Repair Kit
Honda is recalling 4,804 vehicles that were already repaired under an earlier recall of their tire repair kits, NHTSA campaign 26V366000: 2023 through 2026 Accord Hybrid and CR-V Hybrid models and the 2025 CR-V Fuel Cell EV, according to the NHTSA record for campaign 26V663000. When the kit is used, pressure can build inside the sealant bottle and force the bottle cap off, and the cap can strike the user or someone nearby. Dealers will inspect the kit and replace its nozzle if needed, free of charge. Owner letters are expected to be mailed November 16, 2026, and these vehicles become searchable by VIN starting October 17, 2026.
Product Recalls
These four recalls come from CPSC. Each offers a refund, repair or replacement, and each tells owners to stop using the product immediately.
3M Scotch Thermal Laminators
About 53,634 Scotch thermal laminators, model TL1302Z, can overheat and pose a fire hazard, according to the CPSC recall notice. 3M has received 63 reports of the laminators smoking, melting or overheating, including five reports of fires and one report of minor property damage. No injuries have been reported. The laminators were sold on Amazon.com from June 2024 through September 2026 for $44 to $56, and the model number is on a sticker on the bottom and on the packaging. Owners should unplug the laminator and contact 3M at 800-772-4337 for a full refund by check. 3M asks for a photo of the laminator with its unplugged power cord cut.
DR Power Pilot and Premier Trimmer Mowers
About 42,860 DR Power Equipment Pilot and Premier trimmer mowers can collect grass and debris that can ignite, according to the CPSC recall notice. The company has received 19 reports of the mowers catching fire, including two reports of minor injuries such as blisters on hands and feet. The recall covers models T4X1076DMN, T4X1076DMNR, T4X1076DMNSD, T4X1176DMN, T4X1176DMN-1, T4X1176DMNR, TR43076DMN and TR43076DMNR, sold from November 2022 through July 2026 at Ace, TSC, Bomgaars and other stores and online at drpower.com for $380 to $550. Owners can get a free repair kit, or a free installation by an authorized dealer, by calling DR Power Equipment at 800-854-3194.
PACEARTH Swing Seats
About 110,550 PACEARTH U-type swing seats can break during use, whether at the seat, the metal carabiners or quick links, or the webbing straps, according to the CPSC recall notice. Pacearth Direct has received at least 30 reports of falls, resulting in at least nine injuries, including fractures, head injuries and bruising. The seats came in green, blue, pink, red and turquoise, singly or in packs of two, and were sold on Amazon.com from May 2017 through June 2026 for $27 to $57. For a full refund, owners write “RECALLED” on the seat in permanent marker, photograph it with the PACEARTH logo showing and email the photo to recall@pacearth.com.
HatsanUSA Blitz and Blitz 777 Air Rifles
About 16,170 Blitz and Blitz 777 air rifles in .22, .25 and .30 caliber can fire unexpectedly when the bolt is released before the rifle is fully cocked, according to the CPSC recall notice. HatsanUSA has received one report of an accidental misfire, and no injuries have been reported. The rifles were sold at sporting goods stores and gun shops, online and through catalogs from February 2020 through March 2026 for $800 to $1,100. Owners should make sure the rifle is unloaded and contact HatsanUSA at 877-750-3375 for a free replacement trigger assembly, which is mailed with instructions, or for a prepaid label to ship the rifle to HatsanUSA for the replacement.
What Owners Can Do Now
- Match model numbers against the notices above, and search other products at cpsc.gov/recalls. Check each vehicle by VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls, and check again later, because a new recall can be added after a vehicle was last checked.
- Stop using a recalled product while waiting for a refund, repair kit or dealer appointment.
- Do not sell or give away a product that is under a recall or a CPSC warning.
- Report an injury or a close call involving a product to CPSC at SaferProducts.gov.
- If one of these products has already burned someone, started a fire or caused a fall, keep it unplugged and out of use, along with its packaging and receipt, instead of throwing it away. After an injury, the product is often the most important evidence of what went wrong.
When a Product Causes an Injury
A recall, or a company’s refusal to recall, does not settle whether anyone is responsible for an injury. Louisiana and Texas each have product-liability laws that decide who is responsible when a defective product hurts someone, and each sets a deadline for bringing a claim. The earlier recall post explains how those rules work in each state. The Louisiana product liability and Texas product liability pages cover these claims, and the Louisiana burn injury and Texas burn injury pages cover burns like those reported with the Tristar cookers and Kalorik ovens.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What should owners of the Tristar pressure cooker or the Kalorik air fryer oven do?
- Stop using it and dispose of it. No company is offering a refund, repair or replacement for either product. CPSC asks Tristar owners not to sell or give the cooker away, and asks Kalorik owners to follow local hazardous waste disposal procedures.
- How can someone check whether a vehicle is under recall?
- Enter the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) at nhtsa.gov/recalls. The vehicles in the Honda tire repair kit recall become searchable there on October 17, 2026.
- Does a recall or a safety warning mean the owner has an injury claim?
- No. A recall or warning tells owners about a defect and what to do about it. A product-liability claim requires damage caused by the defect, such as an injury, a death or a fire that destroys property.
